This is a book about the Ecuadorian Amazon and the Yasuní and Tiputini, in particular. It is an invitation to be inspired by the photographic celebration of the region and its wildlife through the images of Pete and Reneé, as well a chance to comprehend, through Kelly’s texts, written with clarity and a depth of understanding, the complexities that make up Yasuní, Tiputini and the web of life.

Pete Oxford is a founding fellow of the International League of Conservation Photographers (www.ilcp.com). An award winning photographer, he has been recognized by Outdoor Photographer Magazine as among the 40 most influential nature photographers in the world. Reneé Bish works as a team with her husband and partner Pete Oxford. They have lived in Ecuador since 1992 and 1985, respectively. Kelly Swing is Founding Director of the Tiputini Biodiversity Station, set in the heart of the Yasuní Biosphere Reserve. He is also a lecturer of tropical ecology at Universidad San Francisco de Quito USFQ. He has lived in Ecuador since 1990.
